Dee Dowdy

Rev. Dee Dowdy is a native of Gadsden. He is a graduate of Emma Sansom High School and attended Gadsden State Community College where he received his Associates degree. He then pursued a career in retail management until God called him into pastoral ministry in 1995. While serving a church in Chelsea, he received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo. Then, he moved to Kentucky and served churches in that conference while completing his Masters of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary. He returned to the North Alabama Conference in 2004 where he has served in various churches since that time. Dee’s greatest joy in ministry is being used of God to lead others to Jesus Christ. He enjoys preaching and teaching Bible studies.
Dee is married to Rev. Bridget Dowdy who is an ordained elder in the North Alabama Conference. They have seven children and eight precious grandchildren.
