Curriculum

We use the HighReach Learning curriculum, a comprehensive curriculum that provides a unique balance of standards-based classroom support materials, family connection components, and easy-to-understand strategies for putting it all together to build exciting, enriching, and effective learning experiences for your children.

In addition we provide:

  1. Weekly computer time for children ages 3 and up.
  2. Music Mondays for toddlers through 4K.
  3. Chapel Wednesdays with our pastor Rev. Dr. Brandon Harris for our two-year-olds and up.
  4. Outdoor playtime, weather permitting, twice a day, year round.

Discipline

Through planning and preparation, our teachers create an environment which will encourage positive behavior. The schedule alternates between quiet and active times so each child can get his/her wiggles out at an appropriate time. We believe in being positive with your child and encouraging his/her ability to exhibit acceptable behavior. Discipline will be a positive learning experience and will be administered under the following guidelines:

  1. Behavioral standards (limits and rules) will be understandable by the children.
  2.  Expected behavior will be appropriate to the child’s developmental level.
  3. Discipline will be consisitent and fair, related to the specific misbehavior, and administered by the primary teacher or director.
  4. Discipline approaches used will include redirecting the child to another activity, time out (after redirection efforts are exhausted), and a note home to the parents.
  5. **Physical punishment or verbal abuse will not be used in any manner.

Emergency Plans

  1. Fire drills are conducted routinely.
  2. Children will be placed in the safe areas during storm warnings.
  3. In case of snow or ice, Wee Angels will announce our decision concerning early dismissal or closure via social media and/or contacting parents.
